Another hero felled by words

Lovecraft’s 120th birthday, and of course we all know him as the author of stories of pure evil.  Well, it turns out that his private writings were just as evil too.  Another authorial great blemished; the next thing you know, they’ll be saying that Emily Dickinson’s “genius” was just epilepsy.  (HT:  JPS blog).

    And Lovecraft couldn’t be in a building where people were cooking fish, either, they say.

    Funny — a reference to “The Shadow Over Innsmouth”, I presume.
